Golden Turmeric Protein Balls
These Golden Turmeric Protein Balls are the perfect mid morning or afternoon snack to help with your sweet tooth cravings. They are full of fibre, protein and a good kick of Turmeric for some anti-inflammatory goodness.
2 cups pitted dates
1 and a half cups almond meal
1 cup desiccated coconut
2 tbsp Power Super Foods Chia Seeds
¼ cup sunflower and pepita seeds
1 and a half tbsp psyllium husk
2 scoops Paleo Pro Pure Protein
2 tbsp Golden Grind Turmeric Blend of your choice
Soak the dates in hot boiled water for 15 minutes, then drain and allow to cool for another 10 minutes. Whilst the dates are cooling you combine all the dry ingredients, blitz in the food processor, then add drained dates and blitz again. The mixture should have a sticky dough like consistency. You then roll your dough into whatever size balls you want to create and place on a plate.
Stir a little Golden Grind Turmeric into a bowl with about ¼ cup desiccated coconut and then roll the protein balls into the mixture for the finishing touch.
The Golden Turmeric Protein Balls keep really well in the freezer and can be eaten directly out of the freezer as the do not turn frosty.
